Professional Internship Program

Kick-start your career with a 12-week internship at a reputable company or non-profit organisation.

This opportunity is available to eligible International Students and offered twice a year.

Who can apply for the Professional Internship Program?

To be eligible to apply for the Professional Internship Program you must:

  • be an International Student at Melbourne Polytechnic
  • be in your final year of a selected Melbourne Polytechnic program.

  • Skills in workplace communication and teamwork
  • Knowledge of business etiquette and organisational practices
  • An internship certificate
  • A Statement of Attainment for BSBIND201 Work Effectively in a Business Environment, issued upon successful completion of the required assessments during the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement

Commitment

The program requires a commitment of 3 days per week for 12 weeks.

How it works

  • Express your interest to our International Office via email: international@melbournepolytechnic.edu.au.
  • If you are eligible, you will receive an Expression of Interest (EOI) form.
  • Complete and submit the EOI form.
  • ReadyGrad will contact you directly for your resume and any additional documents needed.
  • Meet with the ReadyGrad placement consultant.
  • Get matched with a host company.
  • Participate in an Interview.
  • Receive an offer.
  • Start your placement.

You will be provided ongoing support throughout the process.
